Hi All, My name is Dawn-Marie Houghton Giuliano. I have just started my Houghton family research. Here is the information I have so far. Ralph Houghto b. 1817 in Leigh, Lancashire. Married Harriet Spencer abt 1844. They had the following children; John, Ralph, Sarah, William and Samuel. They were all born in Hulme, Manchester. Ralph was a bricklayer. Ralph married Annie Rowles Oct 29, 1881 in Chorlton. They had the following children; William, Arthur and Wiiliam(born in Chorlton) Sadie, Frank and Nellie(born in NY) and Annie(born in Canada) Ralph emigrated to Queens, NY in May of 1886 and Annie and the children followed in 1888. I believe John, Ralphs' brother also emigrated to NY in 1889. Samuel stayed in Manchester and married Hannah Barlow. Wiiliam and Sarah died as teenagers.
