Hi Charlie We had some correspondence many years ago re my Houghton family who hailed from Leicestershire, UK. Since then I have had my DNA done with ancestry and was wondering if it is worth while adding it to your DNA database to see if there is a connection anywhere. I can only trace my Houghton line back to mid to late 1700's so there is more to learn. The shared DNA matches that have come up for me have given me some obviously Afro Americans and the ones who have answered me have no idea how we are connected - so it probably goes back further than I have managed to research. Your thoughts please.
