I am an amateur genealogist and a person who hates to see family photographs being sold to strangers. I feel that these are an important piece of that family's history. So a couple of years ago, I set up a website to make these photos available to family members who may be searching for them. I go looking for family photos in antique stores photographic shows and on E-bay. If you would like to check out my site, go to: http://fourkings.freeyellow.com/reunion.html To be able to get these photos back to their rightful families cheaply, I can not pay more than a couple of bucks for them. Sometime the photos are just too expensive and in that case, I do my best to notify the family that they are out there. That is why I am contacting you today. The following is a description of 3 photos on sale right now at E-bay. ******************************************************* A lot of three cdv's of George Hough, who mustered into "A" Co. OH 115th Infantry on 9/19/62 during the Civil war. The earliest cdv shows Hough in uniform. The second carte is roughly contemporary and shows a seated view of Hough. This carte also bears the lightly pencilled autograph of the subject: "Yours truly, G. Hough". The third cdv is a later portrait. The lot is accompanied by print-outs of data on Hough & the regiment history of the Ohio 115th Infantry. ***************************************************** The photos can be viewed and/or bid on at: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=395785353 **************************************************** I hope this message reaches a descendant or realtive of Mr. Hough. Thanks for your time, Robert D. King

Hello, I am searching for information on my grandfathers uncle Harry, born in 1885 in Cheshire, England. He emigrated to America (Michigan, we believe) and started a family. His sister Ann had also emigrated to Thunder Bay, Canada around the same time, later marrying a William Wilson, and having a son Douglas. During the second world war two service men visited my dad's family in Macclesfield - one of them was Canadian (Doug, has was in the RCAF, enlisting in 1941) and the other was American. We assume he was the son of Harry. So far all searches on the internet have not located Harry. I would be interested to hear if there is an online list of WWII service men posted overseas available, or if anyone could advise as to where Harry or Ann would have arrived when they first entered America/Canada eg: Ellis Island. Thank you PS: Any one interested in the Macclesfield area should visit www.macclesfield.gov.uk - --------------------------------------------- FREE! Looking for antecedents of Elizabeth Hough, b. 1748, m. to Hardman Horn in 1771 in Washington Co. PA, d. in Knox Co. OH in 1823. She is said to be the daughter of an Abiga Hough, possibly born in 1721 Philadelphia, d. in Buffalo Twp. Washington Co. PA in 1798, m. a Catherine Black, but there is no documentation positively connecting her to Abiga and Catherine. Can anyone help with this? Hardman and Elizabeth had nine children: Martin, Christian, Isaac (my ancestor), Catherine, Jacob, Joseph, Elizaeth, Mary Ann and Benjamin. Elizabeth moved with several of her children from Washington Co. PA after Hardman's death to Knox Co. OH.
