Drusilla married Jesse Franks a widower and neighbor of the Hostetlers. Andrew was the son of Samuel and Sarah Elizabeth(Betsey) Proctor Hostetler, Betsey's father was John Proctor, she was born in Ireland according to the 1900 census info from andrew and his brother George. Andrew's sister Elizabeth mar. Robert Norman she died in 1850 her children were sent to live among relatives and neighbors. Then their mother Betsey died in 1850 and her 3 remaining children living at home( Andrew, Mary J. and George) were sent to live with neighbors. In 1851 Andrew's brother William died he had 2 of his sisters Elizabeth's children and 1 daughter of his own. Elizabeth's children were sent again to different neighbors. in 1851 Elizabeth Norman's son Samuel while living with the Bartholomew Lilly family in German Twp. had his leg cut off in a Threashing machine on the farm, at age 12. This family had a really tou! gh time in such a short time span. Samuel and Betsey's children were; Elizabeth Hostetler mar. Robert Norman 5 children William Hostetler mar. Maria Norman 1 daughter Daniel Hostetler mar. Sarah Franks 6 children Andrew Hostetler mar.
