Hostetler Jeannette Formerly of Powell, Tenn. John E. Hostetler, 67, of Jeannette, formerly of Powell, Tenn., passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe. Born in Pittsburgh, Nov. 17, 1942, he was a son of the late Leroy and Nevada (Lauther) Hostetler. He was a proud veteran, having served in the Navy from 1962 to 1966, and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hostetler. Surviving are his daughters, Paula Blazowich and husband, Matthew, of Jeannette, Lesley Dreistadt and husband, Rich, of Westminster, Va.; stepdaughters, Kim Catalan and Kelly McArthy; grandchildren, Courtney, Kacie and Cameron Blazowich, Sarah Dreistadt, Stephanie Buddermayer, Dilon McArthy and Sarah McArthy; a brother, Leroy Hostetler, of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of John's life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of McCLURE & JOBE FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 112 N. Second St., Jeannette, with his pastor, Robert Ross, officiating. Burial with military honors will be held in National Veterans Cemetery in Washington, Pa., at a later date.
