Wit: A. Horton J.P., N. Horton Going through the great stuff Jackie has been sending on Hortons of the South. Simeon Kemp married Judith Hardwick Horton the widow of Stephen Horton abt 1758 - 1815. The oldest son of Stephen HORTON and Judith was Alfred C. HORTON, b 1803. He was later a jp in Alabama. Alfred C. Horton was born in 1803 according to my records making him 23 when this transaction took place. Stephen died in 1815 in Baldwin County, Georgia. Does any one have further clues as to the 2 witnesses.
