National Membership No. 160907, and Alabama Membership No. 2354, in the name of Luther Garland Horton, Jr. My line: Amos, Sr/John/Hardy/Melissa m. William Ransom Horton/Hilliard Judge/Luther K./ Luther Garland, Sr. Melissa married her second cousin, William Ransom Horton, son of Sterling, son of William, son of Amos, Sr., thus giving me a double connection. I have a copy of JOHN's Estate Probate Record which agrees with the data in your email inquiry. It is a very poor copy, with no dates other than 15 January 1818, when 233 acres were resurveyed, showing that John had conveyed 2 1/2 acres for the Hanging Rock Methodist Church.
