My grandfather, Casey Horton was born in Gafney. His Step-father's name was Wiley Horton,his biological father was known as "Big Red Smith", a mixed race run away. No one in the family wanted to tell me anything but I keep digging. There were many brothers and sisters, sons and daughters. I'm sure you can find out some info whether or not you are black.
