This is a test message -- I have discovered that I have been involuntarily unsubscribed from some of my Rootsweb discussion lists, so I am sending this message to all of them to find out how extensive the damage is. Has anyone else had this problem? Guy I. Colby IV Irving, TX
I haven't, but you are still subscribed to this one. ;-) -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, March 29, 2003 2:00 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [HORTON] Test This is a test message -- I have discovered that I have been involuntarily unsubscribed from some of my Rootsweb discussion lists, so I am sending this message to all of them to find out how extensive the damage is. Negative: The only thing is they don't come as regular as they used to, now that they are gatewayed to the list. Attention all Subscribers, The HORTON Mailing List is working properly and gatewaying the HORTON Message Board with this List has no impact on reducing the volume of messages on the List. Matter of fact, gatewaying the Board to the List actually increases the volume of messages on the List. Perhaps, many of the HORTON researchers are occupied with other events resulting in the reduced volume of messages on many of RootsWeb's discussion mailing lists. Please do not send TEST messages to the List. Since I receive error notices regarding messages not being delivered to subscribers and receive announcements of problems related to RootsWeb's delivery of messages, I'm in a better position to assist a HORTON list subscriber than a fellow subscriber. Therefore, if anyone thinks they have a problem in receiving HORTON List messages, there are a couple of actions a subscriber can take to determine if a problem actually exists. First, check to determine if you are still subscribed to the HORTON List and other RootsWeb lists by visiting the "Passwords" website having a link on all RootsWeb's webpages. The website address is: http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ You will receive an email message indicating your current subscription status. If you discover you are not subscribed to the HORTON List, please subscribe again. Second, if you received a message recently, chances are you are not experiencing any problem; however, if a message has not been received in while, check the archives to determine if messages have been posted which you have not received. If you have not received some messages, please contact me personally for assistance. The archived messages can be reviewed at the following website: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/HORTON I can be reached via my personal address or at the following address: [email protected] If there are any questions regarding the contents of this message or any other issue, please contact me personally.
