Horton and Slade connections exist from the area of Boston, Milton and Rehoboth area of MA. From that group there is an Amos Horton and son by that name in the Rhode Island area who bought shares of land in 1787 when the Northwest Territory and Ohio Company came into existence. So far, since that Amos Horton line has not been traced forward, to my knowledge, there is no direct line forward from the above which may show a direct Slade/Horton connection to Amos Horton.
