Hi, Ron Thanks for taking the time to respond to my enquiry about my HORTON family. I'm sorry to say I don't think there is any connection with the Horton family in which you are interested. While "my" William Horton was born around 1807, he was born, lived, and died in the Kirkheaton area, as did all of his children. As well, none of the children of this generation had second names. It was, in fact, William's younger brother John born 1812 who is believed to have immigrated to Canada or the U.S., leaving his children behind in the Kirkheaton area of Yorkshire.
