June, My Samuel Horton, Son of David Horton of Wake co who died in 1784 married Rhoda Seagar 4-21-1780. David of Wake, son of Joseph of Nansemond had an older brother Samuel who resided in Halifax Co in 1790 and whose will was probated 6 Dec, 1794. His wafe's name was Jane and had sons Williford and Willis Horton and daughters Mourning Williford , Judah Ferrell, and Ester Horton and Rioddah Winter another son Julius. Samuel was Josephs oldest son and was left the land in Granville Co (400 acres). Samuel was the executor of Joseph 's will. Hope this helps. Dan
