We have a Horton family ---Randolph Horton, born in N.Y., moved to Guthrie County, Iowa. I need to find out from my sister-in-law the name of Randolph's parents, and the dates. Randolph Horton - married to Mary Ophelia Bennett - had a dau. Vina, my husband's grandmother. There were two brothers of Vina, Frank and Harry, but I don't think they had children. Vina was born in the early 1890s. I'll try to find out other dates. Debby Jorgensen

I also have Iowa Horton's Daniel Bent Horton, married to Susan Esther Stone...moved from Belpre, Oh to Hawarden (Calliope), Sioux County, IA. They were among the first five families in the settlement. I believe they arrived around 1870. They died in the 1890's. They had 9 children: Ernest, Eunice, Bessie, Alfred, Ralph, Blanche, Ruth, Ray and Joseph Stone.
