Hi Donna Thanks for taking a look at the chronicles. Yeah the information that has been found so far is welcomed help from two newly found cousins.. Kathy has done a lot of work documenting the information that I had found. And Ken was the one that found the grave sites. City Island is actually a small little island in the long Island sound. It's considered East Chester / West Chester. Anyway... The census put Gilbert in Sag Harbor in the 1850s & 60s. We find him again in the 1870s and 80s in Pulham on City Island. He is either Jackson Gilbert Horton or Gilbert Jackson Horton. Not sure as it is documented both ways. When I look into earlier census of course they don't give good information as it only states a child of that age. And if that is true then his father could be Gilbert also but not sure at all. I'm trying to get my brother, cousins and uncle to do a DNA test hopefully giving me an idea on which way to look. Enjoy your travels. Thanks again for looking. Debbie
