Lucius Manuel Sargent Horton, son of Myrick Cushing Horton and Sarah Jackson Doane Knowles, was born 20 Oct 1839 in Eastham, Barnstable, MA. He married Susan Langdon Burbeck, daughter of Samuel King Burbeck and Nancy Davis Whelden, on 26 April 1862 in Boston. She was born 17 Aug 1844 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA, and died 19 Mar 1902, probably in Boston. They had 4 children: Nettie Sargent Horton, b 20 Jan 1863, d 12 July 1920, m 23 Oct 1887 John J Floyd Samuel B Horton, b July 1863, d after 1930, m ca 1896 Addie M Carrie Brooks Horton, b 19 May 1866 Lucius W Horton, b ca 1869
