    3. Bob, Do you know if any of the Braod Top Hortons made it to Coshocton Co., OH or Illinois... I have many names in my line (Daniel Horton, b. ca. 1767 in NY) that are similar to the PA Hortons Also, I have an Ebenezer Horton showing up in Greene Co., IL in 1821, which is the same time that Daniel's son Daniel T. Horton shows up. Also have a Samuel Horton who married Gertrude Felter and died ca. 1844 in Jersey Co., IL Thank you for any help... 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Horton, Harter Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BBk.2ACIB/2415 Message Board Post: I am trying to track down my Indian heritage. My grandfather was Silas David Harter who was born in S. Carolina but whose family moved to Jesup, Ga where he married Bessie Leona Bell. Silas's parents were Wille Alfred Harter and Mary Isabel Horton from S. Carolina. Mary's grandmother was suppose to be full blooded Blackfoot Indian. From census records I believe her parents were James Horton born in 1850 and Eutinsia (do not know maiden name) born in 1851. James Hortons parents may have been John Horton (born 1822) and Harriet Horton (born 1827 but do not know maiden name) but I'm not sure whether the Blackfoot comes from Marys maternal or paternal side. If anyone can help or can add to any of the family history, please email me at leonaharter@hotmail.com.
