My Horton roots are from the UK, however one Horton emigrated to the states approx 1920's and would've been in his 20's at the time I believe. His name was George or Walter George Horton, b. 1894. This is one branch of the family that no-one of the UK family really knows about. His father was William, and mother Emily (yet to be confirmed), and they were from the Wandsworth area of London. If this rings any bells, please let me know. regards, Claire.

In correspondence from relatives Jenny was listed as Jennie Knisely Horton. I never knew for sure if Knisely was middle name or married name. I would appreciate any info on her and her desc. Her father was John Horton b. abt 1831 and possibly from Canada. He died in Edgerton in 1902. Her mother was Juliana Roxanna Warner and went by the name of Roxie and was born in 1832 in Lorain Ohio She died in 1907 in Edgerton. The Warner family goes way back to early settlers in Hartford Conn. and I will send that to you if you are interested. I have never been able to connect up with John Horton's parents. I do have a lot of desc. Are you also connected with a Grace Moore who I think may have been Jennie's daughter. I am really anxious to hear from you so we can exchange more info. My E-mail is ! 3. Yes, most of the Horton researchers on this list *do* seem to be in the US. However, I am in Australia researching Hortons in the UK! There are a few UK researchers I notice too. I too also think the traveller is VERY ambitious thinking just because the uk is relatively small, he can visit all those places in 24 hours!!! You could spend most of that time on the M25 in various directions...! Good luck to him anyway. Also good luck to the Uk guys getting a word in amongst the US queries! No offence, US, there are so many of you. regards, Claire. --- Ron <[email protected]> wrote: > This is some information for the gentleman that recently said on this > list that > he wanted to travel to all the Horton communities in the UK in 24 > hours, quoted: > > "[email protected] wrote: > Hi Thomas or is it Tom? > The lady from England was right when she said that there were > several places called Horton.
