Linnie Horton married William Purcell they had 1 child that I know of William Mattison Purcell b.1932 in Brown Co.,Tx. My grandmother Odessa Horton b.9-19,1913 in Hico,Tx d.4-23-1997 she was married to Dee J. Baumgardner in 1931 in Fredonia, TX. their children Sam b.1937, Bobby b.1935, June Dee b.1931and died at birth, Jim Curtis b.1933, Nora Laverne b.Nov.1940, Jimmi DeAnn b. Nov.1955 and Edna Evonn b.12-11-52 in Brown Co.,Tx. Odessa was also married to Charles Burch and George Lindley. Mary Horton married a man with the surname Davis, Robbie Horton married a man with surname of Sheffler. Ruthy Horton, Dolly Horton, Charles Pink or Pickney Horton, Robert Horton and Leslie Ho! rton. I have a Jesse M. Horton {age 42} married to Sarah Ann {age 36}and living in Kent co., Grattan then Wyoming Twp. MI in 1850 then 1860 cen. with daughter Dill age 3. In the 1870 census it lists Jesse as Jessy M. Norton age 48 with wife Augusta age 27 and child Dell. age 12. In the 1880 census they have moved on to Reynolds twp., Montcalm Co., MI . 'Dell' has married and left home and it lists; Jesse M. Horton age 58 Augusta '' age 35 Jennie '' age 5 Nora '' age 2 Jesse and his first wife were both born in Canada. as was Jesse's mother, Jesse's father was b. in PA and Augusta and parents were all from NY. Eileen did not have a sister Barbara (or any other relatives by that name). However my great grandfather Oliver did have a brother Frank, I believe, so perhaps if Barbara were another cousin that could explain the apparent discrepancy. Or Barbara could be a child of Oliver by another wife (thus Eileen's half sister). However my grandmother Eileen never mentioned the existence of such a person. I did get more info on this family from my mother which then enabled me to get a bit further with census records to flesh things out a bit. What I currently know is this: Oliver R Horton was probably born sep 1893. I've found what is likely him in the 1900 census, however I can't read the names of his parents. From my mother I know he had a sister Agnes who married a Davis, as well as a brother Steve. The census shows siblings Frank born 1885, Jessie born 1886, Agnes born 1890. Steve is not listed, I presume he was born after 1900 if this is the right family; my mother confirms Steve was younger. Agnes married Stanley Davis and had 2 kids: Letitia born 1917 and Gordon ("Buzzy") born 1922. Buzzy married Irene and had 2 kids Wayne and Bobby Davis. Agnes is the only sibling of Oliver's I have any info about besides approximate date of birth. I'd love to share info with you and would be happy to exchange info in gedcom format, as well as other info.
