He was born in Marblehead, MA on 12 Sep 1715. On 30 Sep 1734, he married Rebekah ANDREWS, widow of Edmond Andrews, by whom she had two sons. John and Rebekah were married in Queen Anne's Episcopal Church in Newbury, MA, even though both were listed as "of Marblehead" in the church records. They had one child that I know of -- Sarah, born 12 Jan 1734/5. Some quick arithmetic tells me that young John must have been messing around with the widow Andrews. BTW, I have no idea of Rebekah's ancestry, or even her maiden name.

Story is that his parents died before he became of age and a uncle took him in. I am told that their was no formal adoption. George was married two times. He had a daughter (Stella) by his first wife, and went on to marry a Susie Carter ( also from Ky.) and had Emil, Allie , Nella or Nellie, Burniss, and Della. In 1910 he was still in Ky. and would have been 37 yrs. old. He and Susie both died in Dayton Ohio. George died about 1962 and Susie around 1977. Thanks for any info. Barb

He was born February 19, 1945 in Cumberland County, North Carolina. From what I know, his mother had other children prior to my father's birth and his father was possibly in the military. My dad never left the hospital after his birth until he was adopted by my grandparents. Both of them are deceased and my dad is in poor health. The last name of his adopted parents was Clayton.
