If you are a Horsley you must know Cassandra? She gave me the info re ETH and Ann. She has a lot of data re the Derbyshire Horsleys. She thinks ETH's parents were a Thomas Horsley and another Ann. Who were John Horsley's parents? Cassandra recently sent me a coy of ETH's will showing that he cut out his son Charles (our mutual ancestor)because he became involved with James Oakes and family installing "piped" water in London. ETH consider he had been "made poor" by their actions. Not sure what that means, but I think he was angry that he had been left out of the business arrangements. It would be nice to see if your John was related to ETH, but would entail a lot of searching in the parish records no doubt.Let me know if you find anything. Erasmus called his first son Thomas.
