Briefly, there is a possibility that Gabriel's parents were William Horsley (b.1796) and Nancy Madden but additional documentation is needed to either prove or disprove this belief. The first record I can find for Gabriel is a November 20, 1842 marriage license issued to James Horsley to marry Elizabeth Bloomfield in Carter County, KY, where he is a witness. As of this writing the relationship between James and Gabriel is unknown. Perhaps, Mary Polly Horsley is a sister to either or both men.
