This James was born at Buffalo Creek, Carter County, Ky in March of 1856. The family later moved to Lewis County. He later married Annie Petrie in Pittsburgh, Pa and died there in 1918. In addition to James and John, Gabriel and Mariah (Springer) Horsley children also included: Artemesa, Rachel (1854), Elizabeth (1857), Simon (1858), Basheba (1863), William (1864), Charles (1872). I would be very interested in learning more about John Horsley and sharing with you any info I have available on Gabriel and Mariah Horsley.
