There are several villages with the name Horsley in them in different parts of the country. My father's family had lived for several generations in and around Beverley in Yorkshire. Several male members of the family had emigrated to the US and Canada before the first World War. It seems unlikely, however, from this timing that your family are directly related to any of these.
