Author: sylviahorsley Surnames: Horsley Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.horsley/467.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Entry 111 This is my great grandfather Edward John Horsley and my grandfather is Herbert Horsley who immigrated to Canada. My father was Irwin Horsley born in Alberta 1919 and died 1991. My grandfather Herbert's brother is George who married a frenchwoman and his family still live in France: Andre and Michelle Horsley are the son and daughter and the other daughter is Paule who married. There is only one son Jerome Horsley from Andre. My grandfather Herbert married Emily Wilson. They had 6 children with my uncle Ernest being the last surviving sibling who died this past August. He and his twin Thomas were born in England. The other 4 children were born in Canada. I am interested in knowing what happened to the rest of the children mentioned in your entry 111. I had understood that John Edward H's first wife was Henrietta Wainwright but she died after George and Herbert were born and then he married again. I assume this is Eliza Hill. They then had children but the two oldest boy! s George and Herbert were from the first wife. I would be interested in hearing from other horsleys that are related to this thread. 3. I'm not a big joiner [ $$$$$ ] but thought this interesting. I haven't checked it out but sounds good. From Eastmans Online Genealogy Newsletter: Lindon, UT - March 11, 2010 – In order to encourage more people to find their ancestors and connect with family, Footnote.com <http://www.footnote.com/?xid=640>, the web’s premier interactive history site, is opening all of their U.S. census documents for free to the public for a limited time. Unlike any other historical collection on the web, the Interactive Census Collection <http://go.footnote.com/census/?xid=640> has the unique ability to connect people related to ancestors found on the historical documents. Simply by clicking the “I’m Related” button for a name on the document will identify you as a descendent and also list others that have done the same. Never before has it been as easy to connect with distant relatives through historical documents.
