    1. Re: [HORNER] Horners in Maryland
    2. Do any of these Horners connect with the Horners that were in Centre County Pa. My gg grandmother was Catherine Horner married to a Peter Cushard. In the mid 1800's they lived in Centre Co Pa.. Later moved to Clearfield County Pa to an area within walking distance from Centre Co. Catherine was born around 1805, but I know not where. She died in a poor house and is buried in the Philipsburg cemetery in an unmarked grave. He works as an archivist and enealogist at the Nabb center. He's knows his Horner's arrived into the irginia area. Unfortunately, every time he finds another member, there's all he connections to figure in. For a Christmas family dinner with mostly orner's he has a huge chart printed, it's probably at least 8' by 4' and veryone he has with the direct connections are there. Every year, he has nother "layer" to add. suspect the Horner's are drawn from many families from many places, and rrived during a stretch of time, in a variety of places. I'm a bit lucky, n that my direct ancestor, Waters, came to Jamestown, Virginia in 1619, I hink I have that year right, it's the 16th or 19th, but 1616 never looks ight when I type it. I've actually been to where he was when he died in, ell, I've been the village, and the church, as he returned to England, and is will was done there. Unfortunately, none of the graves from the 1600's remained, but there are documents there concerning him, and we know what appened to his 2 children and widow back in Virginia. 'll give my son the info and ask him.
