Peter, I really wish I could tie 'our' Horners to yours, but I can't see how at present. Our William Horner was a Methodist clergyman, and so moved around a lot. He did have a son called Joseph George, but in 1806 he was only six years old, so not in a position to have a wife, you'll agree. I don't as yet know where William was posted at that time, but if I can get access to the church records somehow, it may just possibly help. You'll realise that by now the straw we're both clinging to is under a lot of strain! But that's genealogy for you. If I do find anything, I'll post it on the Horner website, so keep looking - I will!. Best of luck Eunice -----Original Message----- From: Peter Horner [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, 1 March 2006 10:01 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [HORNER-L] Northern Ireland Hi Eunice, may I butt in and clutch at the other end of your straws? I have traced my GGGGrandfather, Joseph HORNER, Boatman, to Banbury, Oxfordshire in 1806. His wife was Eleanor or Elinor. I am not expecting anything from this, but it would be great if............
