    3. Listers, I feel like I stuck a stick in a hornets' [really HORNERs'] nest, and they all came out a "buzzin." I have many early NJ names, both in East and West New Jersey, and have done a lot of extracting of those names from many state and county records. My names in East Jersey include WOODMANSEE and in that branch, BOWKER, JEFFREY, and (I think) HORNER. My 3-great grandmother, Abigail BOWKER WOODMANSEE was the daughter of Samuel BOWKER and his wife Elizabeth HORNER. Abigail BOWKER and her husband migrated to Highland County, OH directly from Monmouth (now Ocean) County, NJ about 1820, with the rest of his family. That Samuel BOWKER's wife Elizabeth was named HORNER was originally based on a Lineage Society Application statement (only-no proofs). Recently, I found an 1816 Will and Codicil for a William HORNER in Burlington County (New Hanover Township), where Samuel BOWKER (and three prior generations of that BOWKER name; 1-Francis, 2-John, 3-William BOWKER) had been, before his wife Elizabeth and he moved over to Waretown/Wiertown in Monmouth County. The codicils (addendum) to that William HORNER Will names his brothers Richard and Samuel, and Samuel BOWKER/BOKER/BOGART (Elizabeth HORNER's? husband.) I truly hope that this 4 name grouping of HORNERs will be sufficient to lead me to that family, and hopefully their parents, though dates and ages are woefully lacking. Does anyone have a HORNER family, probably in Burlington County, NJ, with the children named William, Richard, Samuel and Elizabeth? Though the earliest HORNERs (early 1700's) from NY Island to New Jersey were Quakers, neither this family I search nor the BOWKERs show up in the Quaker records. Samuel BOWKER was a Revolutionary War Patriot, also indicating his leanings away from a peaceable Quaker. Can anyone help here? Thank you in advance for any consideration. To keep the Archives neat, I will post a separate offer and mention of a Barzilla HORNER. Robert A. "Bob" Fetters
