Dear Bob & Horner list; Yes, I am interrested in Barzillia Horner information. I understand there was another, older Barzillia, born about 1772, that lived in that same area in NJ. Again, mine was born about 1814 according to Indiana census records and a marriage certificate that I aquired from Brown County IN. He was about 68 years when he married the 2nd time and died he died 1 May 1892 at age 78. I am sure this other Barzillia was either his uncle or closely related. I have been pointed toward Charles & Alice Horner being my Barzillia's parents, but why would he have listed John & Rachel as his parents (from Ireland) on his 2nd marriage certificate? There was a John Horner who came to southern IN around this time frame but no mention of a Rachel unless she died in NJ or in route to IN. I am at a dead-end unless someone else out there knows something I don't know. I will write later with more info that I have that might help someone out there. Thanks in advance....Carolyn (my mother was a Horner) [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected])
