    1. Re: [HORNER] HORNER Digest, Vol 4, Issue 9--MD Horners
    2. Cheryl, I don't really do the research, my son does, but there are MANY Horner's in MD. Not sure if they connect to you or not, but hubby is a Horner, and came from a large family, and his father's was a large one also. I'll ask my son later today, what's the earliest date for Horner's in MD, and it should be the 1600's. 2. Carol myers
    3. Hi, I am wondering if anyone has Horner connections from Marton cum Grafton area near York. I have one of my lines back to Charles Horner born c1754 in Yorkshire. He married Ruth Dickinson in 1780 in Marton and they had their family there. Charles died in Marton in 1831 but I have not been able to find a baptism for him anywhere in the area. Does anyone have him in their line? Many thanks Carol

    3. Thanks to all who replied to my posting, I appreciate it. I have always been told by family this branch of Horner's were from Eng. I have no idea when they came to the US. This is what I have on my Horner branch in Ocean/Monmouth NJ. As you can see, I cannot get beyond John & Hannah, census records and death cert. give places of birth as NJ. USA. No first name for Hannah's father or mother. No death record to be found for John. John 1832-1902 mar.(New Egypt)Hannah Green 1857-1911 Children: Althea 1858-1858---John 1861-1945---George M. 1864-1947---Samuel 1867-1935--Mell 1872-1896(never married)---Ephriam 1863-1958---Ella 1876-1962 mar. Levi Southard---Hannah 1879-1967 mar. Joe Richardson---Carrie 1886-1961 mar. Alfred Horner. I have more on these folks, but it at least gives a general idea of the family. All were born in NJ except for George who was born in MD. Never did figure out what the family was doing in MD, made me wonder if there might have been family members of either John or Hannah located in that area. ________________________________ From: Neal Horner <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Fri, October 30, 2009 5:20:11 AM Subject: Re: [HORNER] Horner Lines There were many Horners in NJ.? ?
