Hi, I am interested in the family of Gilbert Hooker, born to Hezekiah Hooker in CT about 1758. He married Rebecca Andrews and was living at Stillwater, NY around 1800. Later moved to Galen, Wayne Co., NY where he died in 1849. Edward Hooker's book on the descendants of Rev. Thomas Hooker gives the children of Gilbert and Rebecca, but not included is Gilbert Jr., living near Gilbert Sr. at Stillwater in the early 1800s. I suspect that Gilbert Sr. was previously married to someone before Rebecca, having Gilbert Jr. and other children in the 1780s. Can anyone help? Regards,Tom Hooker
