    1. [HOOKER] Question
    2. Charles Mallette
    3. Hi All, I'm back, sort of. A bit of a problem with my knees. Question: One of The Six Brothers was a Thomas B. Hooker, b. ca 1777. I have his children as being: Allen Hooker, Sr., b. 1805. Alfred Hooker, b. 1807. Calvin M. Hooker, b. 1822. William R. Hooker, b. 1810. Sarah Hooker. b. 1825. I have a "possible" penciled in for these children. Is this correct or incorrect? I appreciate comments and suggestions.....! Chuck Houston

    3. I think I am the only one who writes into the Hooker list who is working on this direct line (from Thomas). I descend from one of Allen's daughters, George Ann (b 1834 in AL). I also write to one of Calvin's descendants and some of Wm R Hooker's, as well. We are looking for other descendants of these other children of Thomas, as well as looking for decendants of Wm., also b late 1770s in NC. (His children were Robert, Wm C, Seth and probably Samuel N. - all b Tn before 1818). We are as certain as we can be that these (below) are Thomas' children. We feel his wife Sarah had the maiden name "Calvin" as that name is passed down in this family but not in the other Hooker brothers' families. There is also a probable brother to Allen, etc., named Samuel who married stayed in TN as Thomas and Wm moved to AL c 1818. This Samuel is in Lawrence Co.,TN in 1820 and 1830, and later one of his daughters moved to LA to live with her probable uncle, Alfred, there after 1840. I also write to a descendant of this Samuel. Sarah (b c 1825) below could be a g-daughter of Thomas' - daughter of one of his older sons. She is living with Thomas and Sarah in 1850. We are not certain of this relationship - I will check back on the census again to see if in 1840 he had a daughter who could have been tis Sarah b c 1825. I have been away from genealogy since this spring and had no home computer for a while since May. The older children of Thomas (b c 1777 in NC) were all b in TN. He and Wm. moved to AL c 1818 from TN. I think you have my e-address ffrom before so you can write me direct. As far as I know I am the only one working on this line this far back. Some descendants form George, Samuel, John and Robert are also working on those lines from those brothers. They are all my 5th and 6th cousins, and I write to the ones who are working on these Hookers on-line, Let me hear from you again, Celeste PS We do not know if this Thomas had "B" as a middle initial - two other Thomas' in the other Hooker brother's lines did have this middle initial, as did Samuel one of Thomas' younger brothers. I do not think this Thomas (b c 1777) had a "B" middle initial. adellaholly@yahoo.com --- Charles Mallette <cmmallette@sbcglobal.net> wrote: > Hi All, > > I'm back, sort of.
