What exactly do you need about the Hooker's from Patrick County, VA? Is it the land records? I have some parts of the info in my records. Mostly my line. Have you found more records since Sept 2006? You sent some records into the list them about Wm and his move back and forth across the VA and NC lines along the Dan River. Since then we have found probable connections between the Hookers of Patrick Co.,VA and our line of 6 brothers (5 of whom were b between 1777 and 1783 in NC) This connection is through John (b c 1797 in VA) whosw father seems to be Samuel who is listed in Patrick Co.,VA in 1820 next door to his other probable son Esom (b c 1796 in VA). John's g-daughter later marries into our line in MS in the 1870s, and the family oral hist. states they were cousins. There now seems ot be a connection with Jesse J. Hooker (b c 1807) of VA and NC who named a son James Esam/Esom (b c 1841) James Esom had brothers John W and Samuel Henry. These families seem to all connect through Patrick Co.,VA and Stokes Co., NC. Recently I saw there were supposed to be records exisitng from early time from Patrick Co.,VA - these records seem to be in the VA State Archives. Have you ever tried to access the marriage records, etc., from Patrick Co.,VA in the Va State Archives??
