All I know is that she married George Cole who was born in Maryland in 1754, married Priscilla in 1778 in Maryland and emigrated to Kentucky. My line has several men with Hooker as a middle name through generations. This is all I know. Can anyone give me a lead or a connetion? Thank you, Marilyn Cole Wenzel Marilyn, I have a Richard Lewis "Hooker" Lane who was born in Adair County, Ky., in 1903. He married Emma Gilpin. He is in my Lane line, but not a direct ancestor. My Lane line goes back to Ephriam Lane, unknown wife. Ephriam Lane and his wife had Elisha Benjamin Lane, who married Nancy Mary Reed, and they were my gr gr gr grandparents. They had a son named Benjamin Elisha Lane, who married Sarah Belle Smith, and they had Richard Lewis "Hooker" Lane. One of Elisha and Nancy Lane's other sons was Joseph Woodson Lane. Joseph married Elizabeth Minerva Brockman, and they were gr gr grandparents. I have always wondered where the Hooker came from in Richard's name.
