Paul Hooker has posted on several on-line sites about his Granville Co., NC Hookers who went to SC then Smith Co.,TN. Many of the Bedford Co.,TN Hookers were from the line of Wm"I" Hooker (HYmerick?? or Hardy Hooker) from eastern NC, but those mostly went from NC straight to TN and did not go into SC -- but that corner of SC was one of those places that the border was not "set" early on and did change at times. Some people might have been b in areas that were later SC but were originally in NC. Our line of 6 brothers had one Hooker family in Bedford Co., TN - his name was David (R., I think ) Hooker. David was the son of John (b 1797 in TN) David was b c 1817 in Lincoln Co.,TN and ended up dying in Bedford So.,TN.
