    1. [HOOKER] updates on my northern Hookers, cemeteries and other related items.
    2. I believe it has been thought that the Buffalo St. Presbyterian Cemetery in Gowanda, NY, which had alot of Hookers buried there, including my gggggrandparents, had been plowed under. Well, my brother has been in touch with the Cattaraugus County Museum and found out that they have records showing that the bodies were moved from the Buffalo St. cemetery to the Pine Hill Cemetery up the road. I have a list of the Hookers that are buried there along with wives and parents related by marriage to the Hookers such as Goss and Seitz. This was good news for me because I was able to identify the three small children that were buried in the same plot as my Stephen Hooker Sr and Abigail Goss Hooker who are my Stephen G. Hooker's parents. They are the children of Harry Newell Hooker and Julia Ward Hooker. So if those names are familiar to anyone, pls contact me. Harry and Julia are both buried at Pine Hill also. I also found out that Stephen Hooker Sr's first wife was: Anna Woodward. He had two small sons with her that both died and are buried with Daniel Hooker in Brandon, Vt. His second wife was Abigail Goss and they had six children...one being, I believe,my ggggrandfather Stephen G Hooker. His third wife was Anna Carpenter and they had one son, Otis Walker Hooker. I have copies of both Stephen's and Anna Carpenter's wills. I had kept thinking this last Anna was Stephen Sr's daughter because one of the census records show him living with her and his daughter Emma who was 19. But after reading the wills, I knew the truth. I have also been finding more Hookers that are all connecting to my line...cousins, etc. So if anyone has Hookers in NY or VT or IL they are looking for, I might know of them. Talk about exciting stuff. Has anyone else had any breakthroughs at all? I'm thinking of writing this all out in an article and submitting it to Ancestry for their magazine. Talk about a wild and crazy ride I have had for almost a year now. Happy hunting, Linda Hooker/Farrell Lathrop
