Society, Waynesburg, PA, by the Herald Press, Scottsdale, PA, 1945, borrowed from UVA’s Alderman Library. Page 707. David HOOK, son of Wm. HOOK, was b in Essex CO, NJ, in 1722. He sered in the Fr and Ind. War in n. NY and in Quebec in 1761. In 1766 he was at the forks of the OH and in 1769 located on land in what is now franklin Township. He was polled and placed on the VA rec. in 1778. He had 3 sons, John, Jesse, and Thomas, all of whom were in the Rev. War service. He died in greene CO in 1777.
