Hi, I found a book "Pioneers of Polk County, Iowa" Published in 1908. Colonel Edward Foster Mills Hooker, descendant of an English family, entitled by Royal decree to wear the heraldic arms of Thomas Hart Hooker, founder of the city of Hartford, Connecticut, and cousin of the famous General, Joe Hooker. Does any one have any ideas on this Colonel Hooker or a family tie to his lineage. The article does have a picture. It does not mention a wife. Parents Thomas Hart Hooker Jr. and Betsey Mills. Grand Parents Thomas Hart Hooker and Sarah Whitman. I still have not found yet any evidence as to how he was a cousin of the famous General Joe Hooker. Still looking for any idea's!
