Hi, I found a book "Pioneers of Polk County, Iowa" Published in 1908. Colonel Edward Foster Mills Hooker, descendant of an English family, entitled by Royal decree to wear the heraldic arms of Thomas Hart Hooker, founder of the city of Hartford, Connecticut, and cousin of the famous General, Joe Hooker. Does any one have any ideas on this Colonel Hooker or a family tie to his lineage. The article does have a picture. It does not mention a wife.
