Looking for information on Charles Hooker for Charles Schroeder, 1973 Batchelder Ct., El Cajon, CA 92020. He tells me that Charles Hooker was born in Baden, Germany and immigrated to the U. S. in 1858 and was a naturalized citizen. He was married to Barbara Christie of Schriesheim, Germany. She was born in 1836 and died in 1912. They were married at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in 1859. He died Jul 13, 1907 and is buried at Forest Rose Cemetery. He has been located in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census but not in 1860. He may have had two brothers, Valentine and George.
