    3. Brenda, I have a Nathan Hooker 1763 in Dobbs Co. NC-1825 in Lawrence Co. MS who married an Ann Lackey (sometimes spelled Lockey I understand from Edgecombe??? Co NC) They had sons Richard (from a Richard Lockey/Lackey) Jackson, Nathan who died in Hinds Co. MS, Ambley (male or female?) and Hymerick born 1806 and died in Texas. William runs in this family of Hooker. William died in 1717 Chowan William died in Bertie 1757 William came to Dobbs and died about 1793 He had son William.... Since you mentioned the name Lockey and then your Hooker family was in LA, it sounded like it might be a clue you might want to check on since some of them were down this way. I understand from some other Hooker researchers that this Nathan and Ann Lackey Hooker is pretty well proven, but I haven't seen it. Only have it on good faith from others. Check your Lockey file.
