    1. Re: [HOOKER] Jacob Hooker

    3. Lee, do you know if any of your HOOKERs ended up in the South? W.W. Hooker was my greatgreatgrandfather, but I know nothing further back than him as of now. He married an R.J. YOUNG and they lived and to my knowledge, were married in Bossier Parish LA. They had children, but only one that I have even a name for and that was my greatgrandmother Jessie Lorene Hooker (nickname Lola). Lola Hooker married Edward B Lockey in Bossier Parish and they had about 5 children before she died at the age of 28 years. WW Hooker, RJ Young Hooker and Lola Hooker Lockey are all buried at the Bellevue Cemetery in Haughton, Bossier Parish, LA. It seems that during the Civil War (according to Parish records), for some reason WW Hooker was known as WW Hanks. I have not yet figured this out, unless for some reason he changed his name from Hanks to Hooker after the war. Does any of this sound familiar at all to you? Thanks, Brenda Wilkins Hudson [email protected] wrote: > Okay. Also, this Wednesday I am going to a relative's house that has a > book about the Hooker family she bought at a reunion one year.
