Dear Hooker Researchers: My Hooker line is one of my biggest brick walls. If you recognize these names, please let me know. I've had one person give me some guesses, but can't confirm much. I am a descedant of Almon Hooker who, in the 1850 census for Vermontville, Eaton Co, MI lists his birthplace as Vermont. I know that he was living there at least as early as 1845 and that he had been in Essex Co, NY in 1830. If the census info is correct, he was probably born in the 1790s. In 1850, there is also another man, Ralph Hooker, living in his household. I have been trying for years to figure out who Almon's father might be. Any suggestions???
