Larry, There is a message for you at GenForum related to your question. Judy Taylor has written that your William married Eliza Patterson and that he was the son of Samuel Hooker and Barsheba Nolan. Feel like I've been reading your mail, but since her post was in reply to a post from you to me, I guess that justifies it! Now I wish I could link your William N. and my John Hooker of McNairy Co TN. John was born 1792 in TN, but there are indications his family was from NC. He married Mary Unknown born ca1800 in NC or TN. They both died in Hopkins Co TX; John in 1879, Mary in 1881. They had at least 10 children, 4 of them sons to carry on the name. At least 2 of the sons and 2 daughters ended up in TX. They lived in MS in the 1820's, but are back in TN by the 1830 census. They left for TX between 1870 and 1880. Does anyone have information on Samuel B. Hooker's siblings or parents?
