    1. [HOOKER] Malcolm Hooker book
    2. Kyle VanLandingham
    3. I reexamined the Malcolm Hooker book yesterday at the Texas State Library. Diann, as I mentioned earlier, Appendix 3 deals with your Thomas Hooker who m. Sarah Walker. Malcolm did not speculate on the parentage of Thomas. If you would like copies of the 8 pages in Appendix 3, I would be happy to send them to you. Just let me know your mailing address. It is interesting that Malcolm points out that Sarah (Walker) Hooker's affidavits regarding her husband Thomas' War of 1812 service, differ as to the date of his death. In one application she says he died in 1831 and in another she says he died on October 14, 1842. Also, in 1857, a Thomas Hooker, age 76 of DeKalb Co., TN, declared that HE was the Thomas Hooker who served in the same military unit as the one in which Sarah Walker Hooker claimed for her husband. All of this makes me very interested in the Thomas Hooker, mentioned in Larry Hooker's message, who was in the 1850 Franklin Co., AL census, age 73, b. NC, and wife Sarah, age 67, b. VA. I wonder if DARRELL HOOKER has any thoughts on this. I know you are on this list so why don't you give us your comments. Cindy, the only reference I found on your line was a reference to John Hooker on the 1830 and 1840 censuses of McNairy Co., TN. He also mentions the Samuel Hooker on the 1820 and 1830 census for Lawrence Co., TN and a Samuel B. Hooker on the 1840 census for McNairy Co., TN. Karen, I found nothing on Allen Hooker or James Fannin Hooker. Kyle
