    3. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! Before forwarding Virus Alerts, take the time to check the following website to learn if it is a hoax or not: http://kumite.com/myths/home.htm Try to remember that the sole reason for virus hoaxes is to cause panic and to clog mail servers and mail boxes. 99.999% of all warnings are hoaxes and it is doubtful you will actually receive a multi-forwarded warning when a real threat is circulating. Try to be a part of the solution rather than contributing to the problem. Darrell R. Hooker

Does this show relationship (legally) between these people? Or is this merely a verification that someone named Charles Hooker existed at this place and time? I'm sorry to show my ignorance here. Please enlighten me. Thanks, Cindy McLaughlin

    1. [HOOKER] Dear Ancestor
    2. Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marbled stone. It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist You died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse Entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you. --Author Unknown Al Dawson, Berea, Ohio - MA, History, UNC-Chapel Hill, 1973. 2. Hello, I sure wish I could be of some help but I'm afraid my Robert Hooker was retarded in some way and never married. I don't know of any Deakins in my line. Good luck. 3. Hello! It's been awhile since I posted my Hookers. I have John Hooker born 15 Jul 1792 in TN, died 25 Feb 1879, Hopkins Co TX. He married ca 1820, Mary (maiden name unknown) born ca 1800 TN or NC, died after 1880 Hopkins Co TX. They had at least 10 children, per early census records. At least 2 daughters (Elizabeth and Mary Minerva) were born in the 1820's in MS. The family had returned to TN (McNairy Co) by the 1830 census. My gg grandmother, Emersley Catherine, was born 1831 in TN, died after 1880 in TX. She married Roderick J. Wicker of hardin Co TN ca 1850. Apparently the Hooker and Wicker families moved to Texas in two or more "waves" after the Civil War. Most were in Hopkins Co, and Robert Hooker, a son of John and Mary, was in law enforcement there in 1880. He died in 1910 in Port Arthur TX. Would love to hear from anyone with TN>TX Hookers. Cindy
