    3. There is still another book on the Holt family that might be of interest to ever descendant of Michael Holt (the German line). The book is titled ALAMANCE: THE HOLT FAMILY AND INDUSTRIALIZATION IN A NORTH CAROLINA COUNTY, 1837-1900. It is written by Bess Beatty and I highly recommend it. My copy was purchased at the Alamance County Historical Museum for about $20.00 but it is also available through Amazon.com books.
