I am interested in your Ida M. Holt. My great grandmother, Mary E. HOLT was born in Tennessee on 12-7-1837. One of her daughters was named Ida May and her granddaughter was named one Ida Virginia. Ida does not seem to be a common name in the Holt family. I have been unable to trace her family. She married Samuel DUDLEY who was born in 1833 in AL. They were married in Lauderdale Co. TN in 1856. He served in the Civil War from 1862 -1864. They lived in Upper Alton, IL in 1866-1870 and were living in Portage des Sioux, St. Charles Co, MO in 1880. Mary died in Alton, IL in 1914.
