My mother, Mary Louise Gentry Binkley, who died in 2001 at the age of 90, left a brief account of the early years of her life in Franklin, Tennessee. I was amazed by the accuracy of her memory in most cases. However, in the case of Ollie Holt, she did incorrectly call her Hollie or Hallie. I finally figured out from census records that she had to be talking about Ollie Holt, sister of Mattie and daughter of Joseph Holt and his wife, whose name appears to me to have been Thenia.
