Hi Donna, No problem......I am happy with ANY kind of help. It was thru an error that I found Lemuel Alfred Holt and Emma Smiths marriage cert dated March 25, 1890. On it he states he is 21 and she states she is 20. These two are my father's parents. His name was Estel Nathaniel Holt born 1893-1895 (not sure). On the marriage cert he gave his name as Lem (which is all I ever knew him by). People kept reading it as Leno. The person who wrote it curled up the end of the M and it looked like an o. I finally got one to see for myself and it is Lem. In my mothers bible she lists his name as Lemuel Afred Holt and his birthdate as Sept.22, 1869. My only hope is to find him on the 1870 census and I have no clue where to start. He states he was born in Illinois and his father in Illinois and mother in Mississippi. Since we believe his mother was Choctaw his mother may have been born on the Choctaw reservation in Miss. Lemuel was married the 2nd time to Mary M.J. Trimmer (they called her Minna and on the 1900 census she is listed as Minnie. (Her mother's name was Mina) Then Lemuel married again in 1904 to Lola Candler. My father is listed on the 1910 census living with Lemuel and Lola. It says my fathers parents (Lemuel and Emma) were both born in Illinois. This info is the exstent of my searching for many years and I even had two profession genealogists looking at one time with no results. Some other family names are Cornelius, J.T., J.R. (Holt) Thanks so much, LaVon
