The Times-News Burlington, NC (Alamance Co., NC) Marvin Stanford “Stamp” Holt Marvin Stanford “Stamp” Holt, 77, died July 11, 2002 in the Rehabilitation Center of Alamance. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Marvin and Mamie Alston Holt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Springdale A.M.E. Church. Survivors include two sisters, Gloria Jeanette Hunter of Burlington, and Glenda Faye Williams (Billy) of Fayetteville; one half-brother, the Rev. W. J. Holt (Janet) of Burlington; three grandchildren, Mia, Cristy and Kevin. He was preceded in death by two sons: Marvin Daniel Holt and Thomas Theri Holt; two sisters, Mary H. Patterson and Helen H. Evans; and two brothers, Kermit “Doc” Holt and William “Bill” Holt. The funeral was held Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Springdale A.M.E. Church.
